Les Piliers du ciel (Pillars of the Sky) is an American western realized by George Marshall release in 1956 in the United States.

Personal comments : Louis de Funès is not marked in the credits, he does not appears of the film but, he doubles the voice of the commander :

♦ Synopsis :

In the Oregon, in 1868, several tribes of American natives were placed in a reserve in the North of the river Snake. Doctor Holden made it build a church, and numerous tribes accepted the Christianity and the Christian names. Sergeant Emmett Belle is to maintain the order there. When the cavalry, under the command of Colonel Stedlow arrives, builds a bridge on a river and tries to open a road through the reserve northward, some of the leaders of tribes feel that we violate their treaty. While the cavalry makes road towards the reserve, Kamiakin wishes to lead tribes to the battle against the whites who want to encroach on their territory.
